Mitchel, to the best of my knowledge, no GMO corn is used for human consumption, including corn oil. There was a famous case of GMO corn ending up in Taco Bell taco shells 10 years ago or so but...

Another lesson I've learned about growing TP seeds is that they need to be planted a few inches deep to avoid getting washed up during the rain since some of the more shallow ones are coming up....

My butterfly ginger is blooming and it has an amazing scent. Its nice to smell something tropical outside in November! The scent is really simiar to Gardenia, but actually a little stronger.

I usally spread mine out on the patio in the sun for a few days. I think that the cannas would overtake the irises but not sure they would survive the winter if you left them in the ground.
