Sounds like a lot of hassle, which is probably why there are a lot of customs brokers in the produce industry. You can't really have a container of produce sit at the port for very long.

It would be nice if CIF included those charges, but it only includes Cost, Insurance, and Freight, any charges after it's been unloaded are the responsibility of the buyer. Those fees add up fast,...
