Use the forum search you can find the discussions where several forum members tried that a few years ago (maybe 10 yrs). It does work but you waste many grow points that hasn't developed enough to...

Actually that is not propagating by cutting. It is damaging the corn and forcing the existing nodes to growing. You can get many more plantlets by damaging the meristem of the corm to allow...

Any of the dwarf varsities should work for you. The Dwarf Orinoco would grow year round at the temps you listed. While most other dwf types will go dormant at temps below 50 deg. for the winter.

You are watering tooo much! Do let the pot soil dry out! The corm and pstem stores water. The roots need air so the soil needs to be on the dry side.
