Looks like a wild balbisiana to me. Doesn't produce edible fruit, but is a hardy ornamental.

To me, they look quite sunburnt. Were they just moved into more sun then they were used to previously? If so, that happens to mine when I move them out for the summer. They get a bit burnt up, but...

How much water does it get? A little each day might not be enough, I'd water it each day til I know the soil is completely soaked, especially if it is a potted one. Then I'd put it in a little bit of...

Likely a combination of too much sun and too much heat, notice both browning in leaves as well as the next leaf pushing out before the last one was even able to come all the way out without looking...

With my Orinocos the flower Bracts(flaps) fall off, and the male flowers fall off.

I don't think basjoo get that tall.Well they do get that tall. Basjoo has a yellow flower
