Bunches can be very large.
Propping is advised. Even with large diameter trunk, as you can see from the pix above, it is still quite flexible.

Just keep them damp. No more. They won't show much growth at this time of year: it's winter. Fertilizer is not needed till they are actively growing. Pray for spring.

Leave the bunch where it is. The pup may or may not provide energy to the parent. Nothing to lose by leaving the bunch. The parent will not add energy to the pup at this point apart from already...

The whole point of propping to to support the weight of the bananas, not to stiffen the pseudostem. Almost as if the bananas would stay where they are on the prop even if you cut down the pseudostem....

Yes, was hottest week of the summer. Be patient. It is what it is at this point and overthinkjng and continued tinkering will only worsen the situation. Bananas are pretty resilient.

Agree D Braz bunch looks normal and the retention of the brachts is typical of D Braz. If you grow one of the FHIAS you will notice they are quite different and most drop their brachts almost as fast...

Looks like plant was weak when it flowered, and fruit is more or less correctly spaced, but actual fruit is undersize which gives the appearance of overly wife spacing. Not uncommon on a first bunch...
