Enetes are great for start considering all banana genus. If you germinate Musa sp. I definitely recommend a hardier sp. like Sikkimensis or Helen's hybrid.

On the end it's all up to what you like. I personally like bigger clumps and I believe that for hobby growers in marginate areas they are much better solution.

Sikkimensis bloom

So, my Sikkimensis is about to bloom, I'm wondering how long it takes for fruit to develop?
We have 3-4 months of active growth and it would be nice to obtain few ripe seeds from it :)

No, unfortunately mine never developed to the end. Both flowering times were during October and November so no chance to get ripe.
