you dont have to let it sit you will know right away if the water is going to take to much away some times if it dos lift the vatnish its a good thing if its all yellowed

if you want to clean it you can take Q-tips dipped in distild water and lightly and slowly clean it in smal serculer...

sounds like its vary dear to you hart
I would worry about it being painted on card board too as this typ of paper is not desinde to be uesed for exstended time its laced with acids that were uesed...

yes im vary familure with his work as a kidd my Grandmother use to have a supscription to the Saterday Evening Post i would look at the covers endlasly

OK heres the Tahoe picture I'm not quite sure its done I'm considering a light wash of deep red over the hole picture to bring a more twilight feeling to it as its at sun...
