My vote is SH 3640 for ornamental value, disease tolerance, cold tolerance, not toppling with heavy fruit, nice sized fruit, and I really like the flavor.

Why is there a need to buy bananas? There are so many extras I get that go in the garbage just from thinning. If every person who has plants thins out, then there should be thousands of free plants.

I started telling people to forget Veinte Cohol and just go for Patupi. Only thing annoys me but is a good thing for my neighbors is that they sucker non stop.

Honestly I got the worst results putting lots of care in my bananas. I do tend to keep the suckers off so that may factor in bigger plants. It's Not to benefit the plant but to increase my numbers....

One thing I note is that the bell doesn't try to create the lotus look like the rest of my other pomes and is very tiny especially to the height of the plant....

Exactly 8 feet tall yellowish plants with very large long leaves. Tends to bloom close to freezing but the plants are hardy otherwise. A mystery gift of unknown origin....
