Sounds like a pretty good plan.

I like a lot of organic material in the soil and planting in a spot with maximum sun exposure preferably on the south side. I don't know anything about worm towers...

After two years finally got a Patupi delivered! Yeah! I know a lot of people have had problems with this plant but I think it has potential in zone 9a so had to take a crack at it! Will get it potted...

I leave my plants (namwa and unknown) in the ground year round as low as 21F with some protection. No damage on them until below 32F. I think the same is for Blue Java...

Red Kru really does look like something special. Most banana plants look about the same to my eyes with some exceptions but that one looks really different. Very beautiful plant!

Oh, yeah!!!

I cut down and chopped up four big tall namwahs this past week on the same day and it was a job. I used a saw and a machete and I was exhausted after chopping those pstems up into mulch....

Yeah, first harvest. I planted the originals in March of 2017. The bunches were from their children.

I ate the first bananas from these bunches today. Really good. An extra six weeks really helped...

Yes. Pups draw off resources from the mother. If your goal is to obtain fruit then its advised to maintain only one fruiting plant each season and one pup which will be the fruiting plant in the next...
