Times have changed!

Years ago I was very active here and grew over 30 varieties of bananas. Getting a Gros Michel plant was akin to catching a leprechaun! I did manage to get a couple at great expense sent from Hawaii...

I left several of my big ones out and they were hit by our mid November frost. I think it was 30f or so for a few hours.

Musa Fei I can confirm has absolutely 0 cold hardiness. They make cavendish...

Here is an update of mine. One got REAL unhappy with the temps in the upper 40's and strong winds. The other which is protected by larger musa and also not exposed to real heavy wind is pictured...
