Balanced fertilizers aren’t the best for bananas.

Yes to all the above,
By keeping it wet you may already have fungal spores.
Once you add the lush organic top soil fungus will thrive.

Hi welcome,
Yes, be worried.
But it’s fixable. You’re mix isn’t lush enough for bananas they’re heavy feeders.
Add any compost top soil to the soil mix no more than an inch of water �� in containers....

Hmm the small purple spots look just like what my Juvenal ornamentals look like until they reach 20Ē

The bigger brown burned looking spots do seem like over fertilization ďboronĒ and ironĒ can cause...

Hmm maybe late for this post but hope it helps.

The yellowing is two fold.

1) Fungus, too much water, too small container.
2) Small white bugs?
Fungus can be combated by using copper (Southern AG)...

Yes blessed with mostly great Banana growing conditions.

However we have the worst ground to plant.

Maybe 1-3 inches of...
