These were not started from pups but from a mail-order plant. I'd say about 9 months after planting it it flowered.
Now I have pretty large pups from these plants and they may not have too much...

I feed each of my full size nanas about 1 cup of Fruit Fuel fertilizer (16-8-24) mixed in a 5 gallon bucket full of water poured around the base once a month.

Yeah, the p-stem was about 10'.
The male flowers mostly drop of on this plant.
I love plantains either fried green (tostones) or over ripe (maduros). I Can't wait.
