Melothria scabra also seems to leave its seeds in the ground to come up next year. I had about 20 fruits from a few plants that seemed to come up spontaneously.

Hey, I pollinated many many tomato flowers, end of last year, in my GH! I used an electric toothbrush but, I have heard many people just 'shake' the stem lightly... same with peppers.
