Helen's hybrid is a hybrid between Musa Sikkimensis and Chini Champa. What you don't know is how many generations forward this set of seeds are from the original cross. These seeds will be open...

Just Googled Riga and it looks like a beautiful city. Seems as you have rather grim winter weather as we do in some parts of our country. I am not qualified to help with your issue but your pics...
