Re: Test Your Coir with Corn Seeds

Re: Need ID of large, double bananas

The only thing I found on google was this:

"According to experts around five percent of bananas can grow into 'double fingers' but most are discarded. While double bananas are understood to be very...

Re: Rootstock citrus

You could try grafting any citrus varieties you want onto this tree. It would take 3 years to fruit but at least you know what you have. Plenty of videos on youtube. I just don’t think you will be...

Re: Rootstock citrus

Re: Seed sprouted--now what?

I read that their roots are really delicate when they first sprout. Moving them early stunts their initial growth. I would wait until it puts out 3 or 4 leaves if you can. Question, how long did it...

Re: Need ID of large, double bananas

Can't say I've heard or seen anything like that. I'm hoping one of the subject matter experts on this forum can chime in. Very cool.

Re: Probably heard this before but....

Haha. I was guessing you were somewhat close. Namwah does fruit. Mine haven't yet but I expect I will have something this summer/fall. I've read that Valentina is really seedy as well. Its more seed...

Re: Probably heard this before but....

Hello,

If what you mean by pink bananas is Musa Valentina then they are not edible. I also live in 7b. The best choice is probably a Namwah variety or possibly Orinoco. I have Namwah and some are...

Sugarcane fertilizer?

I'm always getting yellowing leaves if I use light amounts of 10-10-10. What is everyone using for sugarcane and what amounts/intervals?

Thumbs up Re: Variegated Monstera

Not sure if you meant micropropagation instead of macro. Either way, I would like to see your set up.

Re: Musa aeae issue/help

I know Aeae's are water sensitive. I would just go light on the water. Water it when the pot is really light.

Re: Looking for Variegated Monstera Cutting.

What I was trying to say is people are selling cuttings that have developed a leaf and roots for $200+.

Re: Looking for Variegated Monstera Cutting.

Thanks PR. When I said expensive, I said that because cuttings with one leaf are $200+ and five leafed plants are $1000+ plus online at the moment. I know its all relative but hey, $200 for a piece...
