Re: Musa Aeae White Variegated

I see. I am no longer interested in AEAE's because I read they cannot dip below 60F. If I were to slip up once in my climate they would be harmed.. I can't take that risk haha

Re: An Update Of My Latest Nana Plants 2019!

Honestly, I'd rather never have Red French Plantain than acquire it though this seller. Small or large offer, this guy does not reply. Almost like he lives for this sort of drama. He literally never...

Re: An Update Of My Latest Nana Plants 2019!

@PR Giants now I know why you are notorious for never answering people's messages.. you're busy sitting way up there on your high horse condescending. Enjoy it up there. Probably gets lonely. Just...

Re: An Update Of My Latest Nana Plants 2019!

Hector, I always love watching the progress of your banana plants. If it weren't for the weight, I'd 100% use your silica and pearlite combo for soil medium.

Let's get an update again soon please!...

Sorry forgot to update this. TURNS OUT Mekong Giant is actually Itinerans var. itinerans. What a ripoff. The sap is white. Xishuangbannaensis has red sap. Here's the link explaining the differences...

Re: Giant Yunnan Banana (Musa Itinerans Gigantea)

I think one is germinating!!! It's in the middle of the pic.. white part emerging! It looks like the tip of it is brown but that's just a piece of vermiculite. I might transfer it to a pearlite jar...

Re: Nana super slow after roots dried out over winter

The pups/corms/corm callous are all in WET (from rain) potting soil, and the mother (5ft pseudo) is in dry potting soil in the garage. Are you saying I should plant them all in sand? I checked the...

Re: Nana super slow after roots dried out over winter

OK so I examined it. I meant to specify that the rot had calloused over and hardened. Still cut it off or leave it? Also, I soaked it in a bucket of water for 3 hours to kill any mealworms that may...

Re: Nana super slow after roots dried out over winter

Well I dug it up.. tons of rotten roots and part of the corm bottom rotted. I'm assuming it was still recovering, so I removed the dead roots. Soil is fine.. there were a few mealworms in it though.....

Re: Musa I N G E N S 1st sprout in the netherlands!!
