Ordered two now from Florida Hill. I’ll be curious to see what size that they send as they have a disclaimer that it could be from 4 inches to 24...

I have a 8x16 double wall greenhouse where they will reside without fear of sunburn as they can...

Lots of nurseries here sell banana plants of various species but never Mekong Giant. When trying to buy banana plants online I try and stick with banana specialty growers for variety, health and size...

I've had several orders so far this year from Florida Hill and have found them to be the fastest shippers of any vendor I've ever bought from both with bananas and palm trees(what I mostly buy) ...

Thanks. Coming from the palm tree world where 99% are from seeds to grow.

Reading that banana seeds are typically long to germinate I wondered how growers did it and grew enough to make money.

Seems like germinating a banana is tough and time consuming so was curious what do the nurseries or smaller growers do that sell bananas?


Just curious here. Most of what I have are palm trees here...

Have some glaucum seeds coming. Just have to give them a try. I wonder if they are more finicky to germinate? I have a greenhouse that I germinate palm seeds in so why not try this since no one...
