Dropped to -2C last night. Wind is horrible, 80-100 omg constantly, gusts who knows...

Well, another frosty episode on the roll. Had to dig out my biggest Daijao, it was to risky to improvise serious protection with strong winds like this. Tommorow should be better.

Well, almost exactly same time of the year and we are about to get hit by freeze again. It will probably be not so harsh as last time but some serious damage is to be expected.

Only 3 ssp came back and only one had normal growth. I'll try with more Ensete sp. and Basjoo to fill the gaps.

Strange, most are still knee high? Summer was extremely warm but they did get enough water and fert but they just refuse to grow. Any ideas?

Most probably it will not. Our growe is old and native sp can handle temperature drops like this one was. Pruned and young trees will have damadges , bark will split and peel off on exposed...
