I think you mean "Kauai Hug muk". which whenre it's peel turn black. That kind of banana has wonderful taste, very delicious by roasting. Not easy to find.

It takes around 6 years (not quite sure). Yes the fruits were palatable if you pick them at the right time by consider the color of the fruit, should be light green. The trees are about 6-7 feet...

I also have 2 avocado trees in the front yard, grown from seeds. They gave 5-6 fruits last year as their first time. Hope to see more this year. :0517:

Usually I let the new pup grow. When the mother plant yields fruit and was cut down, the new one will be grown enough. Unless there are too many small pups then I move some of them away.

Your ponds are great! I wish I had one. Now I only have lotuses and water lilies in pots and keep small fishes in them, frogs and toads always come to lay eggs. Nice to watch them...

WE have bananas that are ripe when they are still green and they never turn yellow in Thailand too. We call them " gluay hom keaw". Mine are ripe now, the taste is almost the same as the golden one.
