The smaller one you sent me is the one that has wine staining. The other one (dwarf brazilian) has a little bit but not anymore.

Thank you. Yeah it seemed odd to recommend Taro growing with Bananas. I think it would for sure affect bunch size. In any case, I will grow then separately.

That's the thing Richard! I'm in an apt. :( Thankfully I'm on the bottom floor and I can plant stuff in pots beyond my balcony but it limits my banana hobby :/ I'm thinking of renting a house next...

Thanks for the response. What you say makes a lot of sense. I just would assume since the bananas are produced commercially, they would tend to almost be uniform in size.

Richard, I did know that know that you fruited Dwarf Cavendish in the San Diego area. You must have had a good microclimate...
