Oh I believe you. Actually I initially planted the the smaller one you sent me (raja puri) and probably watered it too much because it just sat for over a month and struggled. I dug it up, trimmed...

Thank you. Yeah it seemed odd to recommend Taro growing with Bananas. I think it would for sure affect bunch size. In any case, I will grow then separately.

That's the thing Richard! I'm in an apt. :( Thankfully I'm on the bottom floor and I can plant stuff in pots beyond my balcony but it limits my banana hobby :/ I'm thinking of renting a house next...

Thanks for the response. What you say makes a lot of sense. I just would assume since the bananas are produced commercially, they would tend to almost be uniform in size.

Richard, I did know that know that you fruited Dwarf Cavendish in the San Diego area. You must have had a good microclimate...
