I was doing it for a 300 gallon with 8 inches of logs at the bottom, so that might be the difference lol

Ive actually calculated it would be max 105 dollars and um i have no excuse for the cost versus payoff

Sadly I cant really put a raised bed on the soil, it is all on a slope. I think I am going to go for a 300 gallon grow bag, maybe 400 gallon one

I just got a 1.5 foot goldfinger banana in a 5 gallon pot. What sized pot should I end up having it in as its forever pot (I was thinking 25 or 50 gallon, does that make sense, or should I have more)...

Thanks! Goos luck with yours too. I'm almost 50 days in and nothing at the moment. I'm not expecting anything until around 60 or 70 days, maybe 80.

How long ago did those mango seeds germinate? I would bet 3 years (I might be horribly off) if I had to guess.

LOL. I was thinking about doing avocado serds just the other day, they grow really well in my climate and we have tons of them here. The only thing is I will taste the fruit sometime in the next 1.3...

Oh wow! That is really good! I sort of became a seed addict now, and its not just my musa velutina. Its sprouting potatoes, sprouting sweet potatoes, rainbow chard, pears, apples, even some golden...

So far I have had none germinate, but it has only been 20 days since I have planted them. I am currently keeping track of each of their heights (all zero right now) and putting them in a spreadsheet...

But I am saying eating just the seeds, not like biting into a banana and just swallowing it seeds and all. I am saying like are they group up and used to make tea or a drink or something

Is the seed float test a good measurement of viability in banana seeds? I heard that if you soak seeds for 15 minutes in water and they are still floating they wont germinate....
