Hm.. Its too cold where I live to move it outside. Since over ferilization and root rot both involve clogging the roots with things that prevent water uptake, and since my tea was VERY strong heres...

Will waiting longer hurt the mother plant? I value the main more then the shoot so I'm not sure how to cause minimal damage to it when I do removal of shoot.

My Gros Michel perished but my Blue Java's been steadily climbing...

Repotted a week or so ago into a 50/50 mix of peat moss and rabbit poo (safe fertilizer to use straight).

Bigger of the two bananas (icecream?) seems to be thriving but tiny little gros michel seems...

My house isn't air conditioned and the bananas have a humidifier inside a tiny greenhouse with them so they should have plenty of humidity. (Too much even. I may need to get a humidity gauge to make...

I did this and found an article on the growth of different banana breeds but it did not include any nutritional info. Mayhaps you might have a link? Or the name of the paper for me to google scholar?

I did this and mainly got the google response "grow dwarf Cavedish ya dork" but figured if I was going to grow bananas in my basement they should at least be bananas with something a little more...

Hello. Let's see... I live in Missouri and from what I can tell that makes banana raising almost impossible (Also limited yard space and lack of clearance from landlord to grow impromptu trees.)...
