Im in hartlepool (north east) and I planted 2 different baby banana plants in my back garden just after easter last year. They had grown to about 4 1/2 feet when I dug them up end...

Did you see the zebrina listed by another seller, the plants are the same height and in the same size pot but they have definite markings on the leaves.
But you're probably right and...

mskitty, I actually gave my neighbour one when I bought them - he put it in his conservatory because it said conservatory/patio plant on the label - he told me it wouldnt grow in...
