Now I am gonna need some advise planting this , the root ball has a big wound on 2 sides , should i let these dry out for a few days ?

Hi All ,
Just got a AeAe pup today , I was reading in previous comments that only one out of 4 will be variegated ??? So , worse case I'll end up with regular green color leaves and green bananas...

I have about 30 heliconia varieties and in the wintermonths at night the temperature drops to about 50 F or 10 celsius even had nights at 7 celsius , none of mine have died so far .

Hi Steve ,
I agree but all you have to do is order them , just for fun try to find a webpage on Heliconia in Mexico ,that's where i live , even in the nurseries they just have the classical ones...

African Red ??

Hi ,

The pic that i posted of this " African Red " doesn't seem to be African at all ,
the original plant was brought in from Thailand.....and it is an ornamental producing small bananas like Musa...
