I think it was a lack of heat. I'd use a spray bottle to mist them 4 or 5 squirts every other day or 3rd day. :^)

Yeah, ensetes do like it dryer than other naners. Pretty sure that's why my Maurelii was so fastidious when it was outside last summer (it rains quite a bit here). You might be overwatering it, so...

Yes, thats over watering sign in such small seedlings. I prefer covering them for higher humidity.

They mat like crazy and pups will grow along-side the mother just as fast as the mother. Her husband probably cut it down after fruiting...

If she has a Double Mahoi, THEN and only then will you get two bunches of fruit from a single pseudostem. But they come out at the same time....not a year apart. Manzano will not ever fruit twice...
