This is a pisang awak seedling from seeds that I collected out of bananas I have had in the Philippines in February.
There is a bit of varigation in it as well. Unfortunately I dont know what banana...

It takes about 4 months from pollination to harvest. I randomly check some fingers about a month prior to harvest.

I do not. Canada requirements are somewhat strict for shipping plants, but I'll doubt check when I have the time and get back to you.

Bare root them ... cut the pstem back to about 6 or 8 inches; wash the soil off of the roots. Let the roots air dry for a few hours; then put a plastic bags over the roots; and store in a cool...

I have personally never grown them long enough to fruit, but to address the main question...yes, they fruit. What I have noticed is that they seem to hate changing conditions, they like long periods...

About ten years ago I got fruit from mine. Then two years later I potted up the plant for to remain in a pot for the next six years or so. And now they are back in the ground as of about two years...

Anyone on this board ever fruited one of this? I think I'm about to give up on this plant. I've had some plants for almost 3 years now and I think I'm gonna just dig em up. I'm in a California...
