Separate and pot the pups now... You have over a month of great weather for them to establish themselves before you would have to bring them in... Just my $.02...

In zone 7 you still have at least 8 weeks of good growing weather left I would think, so a good amount of time to establish the mother plant in the ground. It is in the ground where they thrive, keep...
