Splitting it up is one solution. My banana plants are not on a level patch either. Our soil is rock hard and needs tons of amendments, usually loads of compost covered with a thick layer of mulch....

We could use some too. Northern California has already limited the water usage to 59 Gallons per person/day.
This would not be good for all my plants.

3/4 cup diluted in a 5 Gallon bucket of water applied once every month to established plants in the ground.
Smaller or potted plants I use a tablespoon per Gallon of water.

Does not look like my Patupi which is all green. Your plant reminds me of a variety in the Mysore subgroup because of all the maroon coloring.

Welcome to bananas.org neighbor. If you plan on moving this year, plant in a big pot or growing bag. Otherwise banana plants grow fast here in San Diego when planted in the ground and develop pups...
