Red bananas of the type called Rojitos or Rosados; purchased from a honkin' big bunch at the Free Market yesterday. They're a bit fatter than regular Seda or Cavendish bananas, and about 8" long.

They are sweeter and with a silkier texture than Cavendishes - not mooshy, but smooth eating, and the flesh is light pink in colour.
