Do you have a picture that isn't so close and/or larger in size? Hard to really tell what it looks like so close. From the other picture I thought it looked more like a Tillandsia (air plant). Looks pretty either way! 8-)

I knew it!!!! 8-) I have one of the exact same species it appears, hanging outside on the 4x4 post for my hammock. I'll go take a picture and look up the species name later this evening if you don't know exactly which one yours is.
Oh, btw so you can correct it, bromeliad is spelled

i know, my fingers work faster then my mind most of the time. LOL! spelling was never my strong point. lol. i have 7 of these but they are different kinds. i love them. if you want some you can get ahold of arachnid (brett) thats where i got mine, and they were not that expensive either.

Thanks Ms. Kitty. I actually have 4 myself (and one coming through the mail of all places... ebay.... grrrrrr). I love those plants, along with any of the plants from the Bromeliaceae of Agavaceae family!!!! I have to stop buying so much until I FINALLY get my pond dug out and all of the grass removed so I HAVE a place to put them. 8-)
