yup outta 40 or so canna seeds this one popped at 2 days the rest are still not moving yet

Canna are pretty fun to grow from seed, you get such fast results.
Did you scarify the seeds? That seems to work pretty well with canna. I've also soaked them in warm water until they popped open.

I soaked for a bit... but my grandmother harvested most way too early IMO so I only got a few to try... I scarified a few and so far they have done nothing either... I may have had some fungi issues though because my original trials were done in really unsanitary growing medium.
I sent a few to a friend in La. for him to try his hand at it so I hope he has better success than I have w/them. I actually got some rhizomes from the plant that produced the seeds as well so no matter what I'll have at least 5 plants to play with this spring.
