I use four 16 watt Low Energy fluorescent bulbs.
Hopefully enough to keep them growing a bit.
I let them on in the evening and night, the basement is dark during the day.

I was looking at the low energy fluorescent bulbs in the store yesterday and I see some labelled soft white light etc. I could not see any that said full spectrum light. What kind do you use and so far what are the results?

So far the bananas are still growing slowly, its a balancing
act with the water, I hardly give them any water only when
they feel bone dry. The only thing that is not nice is I can't
switch the bulbs with a timer. I need a special relais for that,
have to find out were to buy it.
Mine bulbs look soft white to me. They don't need much
light in my opnion to keep them growing.
