Here's a tree in our yard. Going into our second year living here. This banana tree was already here so we are not sure of the type or when to harvest. Any information would be appreciated. Hope I am putting this in the right place here.

When the top few bananas start to turn yellow cut off the whole bunch and hang in the shade to ripen. They will turn fast once they start. Good luck.
