I never cut these back for winter until all frost is over. This is usually March. The leaves fall to the side and the plant will double over about half way down. In March I find the line for green and brown and cut it off at a diagonal. The largest ones do not come back because they have flowered but the smaller ones will sprout..zone 7a |
