To Trim or Not to Trim Broken Frond

This banana plant took a beating yesterday in a rain storm. As you can see, two of the fronds were broken. I cut off one that was left hanging by a thread or two. You can see the bent over second frond here. Should I cut this frond off (to relieve pressure from the rest of the pseudo stem) or leave it on for for some other reason? Thanks in advance!

As long as my broken leaves don't prevent the next leaf from coming through, I leave them on until they turn brown. I think the plants are still able to derive some benefit from those leaves, similar to the way a banana plant can still ripen its bunch even if the pstem breaks and folds over.
