I thinned out the pups and replanted them around my yard.
My McCurtain Palm has survived 2 winters with minimal damage.
My elephant ears and upright elephant ears survived under the oak leaves for 2 winters.
My Kleim's Hardy Jasminoides Gardenias also have survived 2 winters. All foliage above the oak leaves froze off so I am a little disappointed. The plants are slow growing and only reach 1 foot before winter and only bloom 1 week in the spring. They are not worth the effort in my opinion.
As I stated in my original post, the Red Tiger banana died during the first winter. Wished it lived for the red stripes.
I propagated some of the bananas from seeds and bought some pups online from different sites. Growing from seeds has been difficult. I get 1 per 10 seeds and 1 in 2 survive to mature plants. If you are growing from seeds don't get your hopes up. Ive tried various methods with little differences in outcome. Pups are more expensive but you get results in a few weeks instead of many months.
