Ensete Ventricosum seedling (scarified). This was the first seed to germinate from a batch of 24 scarified and unscarified seeds on 19.02.13. I teased out this seedling from the others and re-potted it in a 7oz polystyrene foam cup using a 50/50 mix of peaty seed compost (low nutrient) and vermiculite on 23 Feb. 2013. It's in the same propagator as the other germinated and un-germinated seeds but now under a C.F. growlight on for about 10 hrs per day. |
