is that a temp home for the pinas? won't they crowd out? or are they easy to uproot with minimal damage? I've only grown one before..sorry bout all the questions

Yes. Temporary home. Mother works in cafeteria. Brings me dozens of pineapple tops at a time. I'm out of flower pots. Bananas will have to share until I can replenish my supply. Pineapples dont mind being a bit crowded. They use their leaves like funnels to trap water and funnel it to the roots. You are correct. There are too many in there. I will remove them all in another month or two. I dont grow my pineapples in with bananas. Bananas pup to much. I constantly have to uproot and remove suckers.
