Namwa is the cultivar distributed as icecream. It was collected by a certain tissue culture company then cloned and the confusion began there.
when people found out they began to crave the real blue java.. the namwha they were enjoying so much became bland?? before they were the wiser namwa tasted so much like icecream.. so delicious. i wonder if people will actually like the taste of blue java as opposed to namwha??

Namwha..seems to have a light seafoam green color as opposed to orinoco which seems to be more dark olive.. Both can have pink hues and dark markings.. With mine I can distinguish..

When a namwah is at fruiting stage the penduncle may have red markings on it.. The fruit may have red where they attach to the bracts. There seems to be some difference in how the new leaves come out as well.. Other people may have plants that may look like just about anything.. was trying to collect some Possibly unique ones outside of my collection but no bite.. Oh well, this is namwah. My I.d. system works out for me, and with what I have.
