I think it's been close to 3 years at this point. It only gets sun half the day though, and until I joined this site and started posting maybe 8 months ago, I wasn't managing all my bananas as well as I could have been. This has been another the corm weevils seems to enjoy, but I haven't trapped one on this mat in a while, so that's good!

Well good for you, finally getting it to fruit after all this time! And I'm sure most of us are guilty of not treating our bananas as well as we should some time or anther lol. Those corm weevils can be quite a pest from all I've seen; how do you trap them?

When you cut down a plant, you made logs out of the p-stem, split them, lay them split side down and check them daily. The weevils go on them to lay eggs, stay attached to the log, and play dead. So they are very easy to kill. Over time I am catching fewer and fewer so it does seem to reduce their numbers.
