This banana tree is the only survived from the first supply from Embrapa. It was very small, only 10 to 15 cm, as it arrived. I don't know, which cultivar is. Jaipira or Pacovan Ken??? My housekeeper didn't care the plants well, the soil is pure sandy. Only this survived. Now last year I ordered Jaipira, Caipira, Preciosa, Tropical and Garantida. I changed the soil and planted the very small plants from micropropagation by Embrapa in the red soil and protected them against sun. They grew up and the frost killed Caipira and Tropical. Japira, Preciosa and Garantida survived and will also be very huge plants in the future like the first. They are disease resistant, bred in Brazil by Embrapa. My huge banana tree is alsa hardy and as hardy as Mysore. It is tetraploid, AAAB.
