This "lettuce tube" didn't work for us. I think it might have, if we supported it better when hanging, but the way we did it was too saggy and didn't work. The cardboard tube wasn't strong enough. I tried another one with pvc pipe, but that was too hard to deal with. I have limited set of hand tools and the hacksaw wasn't making it easy. I think if I had a band saw or something to be able to make an easy cut in half of the pvc pipe it would work nicely.
