What is this? It has been blooming about a month in heavy shade. Leaves are dark green and blooms are brilliant red.

^ That's the right scientific name, but I know it as Red Firespike ( http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/1854 ). There is also a Pink Firespike, Purple Firespike and Lavender Firespike (all Odontonema callistachyum http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/62195 ). There's a variegated form of red firespike with nice foliage but not many blooms.
