This plant is very close to my house, but I don't know what it is and I would like to know which variety it is and if it could be worth asking for a pup.

ANY Banana is worth asking for a pup!!! Where are you located? I'm not an expert whatsoever at identification (there are some people on Bananas.org that are very educated in banana identification), but I would feel compelled to say that they are Basjoo. Don't hold me to that, but if you wanted to start with a Banana, it's an excellent one to start with...and they are PROLIFIC!
