gran Nain coming along..here you can see the male flowers are not persistent (unlike dwarf Cavendish). all of my Gran Nain have a deep reddish/rust tinge in the trunk w/ dark vertical stripes. my dwarf Cavendish have solid green trunks with dark vertical stripes. i like its graceful appearance


i think anyone can easily do this..especially someone in a better zone than myself..
i believe everyone is hung up on gold-finger and other fhia varieties because someone may have been heavily promoting the fact that they may be a little hardier or improved... the fact that it may be resistant to crown rot?? in my opinion are i don't believe there are any real significant advantages for growing them in place of gran nain.. im so far up north not much of that maters.. after im done here i will give goldfinger a try.
