Not very sure what it is,it seems like a remote geminator but not of any of the genus i have grown. I would say Phoenix sp. ,probably from the nearest mature female specieman from the place of collection! If you can carefully remove the soil from the top,you will eventually find the seed before any of the roots and then the ID would be confirmed as it would look like a roasted coffee bean! Depending on its size,the species can be determined too although it can also be a hybrid if there are different male Phoenix sp. in the general area...If you decide to dig it up,be carefull not to break the cotyledonary petiole,a tube that connects the base of the seedling to the seed...
