The hole in the back is for a duct that runs out of the carport window. These mushrooms produce a lot of co2, and it must be vented to get proper frruiting. Plus, The spores and humidity need to be vented out of my house or the carport will be eaten by oysters, and molds will grow.

Very Interesting. I didn't know that mushrooms release CO2. Is this a home based business or you just really like mushrooms? So these are oyster mushrooms?
