Is this common coloring for a new leaf of this H. Sharonii? Will it turn more green as it ages - or is this a new leaf at all?

This is the underside of the leaf showing the variegation from the bottom. The maroon color is normal. If you look at the leaves behind, you will notice the tops of the other leaves on the plant. (The photo is 'sideways')
