This is the kid, and grand kid ( the pup in the photo) of a "mystery naner" I originally purchased from a display planting back Sept. 2008. The original mother died after slight frost damage, and me removing the pup which was about as big as the one in the photo. That pup, turned into this one, and now this one has got its own pup, which would be its grandkid! It was correctly identified by tag and in a thread on here as 'Grand Nain'.

If those are red splotches on the leaves, then this is not an Ice Cream. It looks kinda like a dwarf cavendish, maybe. If you are unsure, post the pics in the banana identification forum.

Damn! You beat me to it! I was just about to go back and correct this , and the other post where I said it was Ice Cream. Go read my thread over in the "welcomes" section, and youll see the full story. =o) I feel dumb for not remembering everything. Im usually extremely good at, and rather picky about plant ID's too. shame on me! It is in fact a Grand Nain, (Cavendish type)
