About 12" long, 2 to 2 1/2" dia, used here in Panama as a diet staple. They are either sliced thick when green, boiled in oil, then taken out and smashed thin, then put back in the oil for frying until golden brown, or else they usually slice them lengthwise when ripe(yellow), fry in margerine, coat in cane syrup. |
